Alphabet Pattern Block Masters
These pattern blocks can be used as an open-ended literacy center, or in a directed lesson. The activity can also be extended to have children make whole words out of them by combining multiple copies of the letters. You can also give them pre-cut paper pattern blocks and have them glue them down permanently for an art project.

Sounds Fun - Phonics Flash Cards
Each character has a corresponding motion that goes with it. When the children are drilled with the flash cards and are asked to respond physically and verbally, they tend to remember much more quickly than without the kinesthetic element.
Includes: 23 flashcards for 23 different letter combinations, including long vowels, r controlled vowels, and the sounds for digraphs /sh/, /th/, and /ch/. Presented in four different formats for ease of use: large, small, and small condensed, and single page
Please note that the long vowel sounds that are written with a silent e at the end of the word have been intentionally left out of this set. This is because this method of introducing that type of ”_a_e “ sound spelling pattern (with a missing consonant, as in the word, “cake,” or “bike”) proved ineffective. The children learned this sound spelling pattern better using other methods, such as the “bossy e” makes a long vowel sound rule.
