Fairy Tale Craftivities are crafts & activities (craftivities!) that your students can do along with the Fairy Tale Book Report Lapbook, or separately as it's own activity! This craftivity includes all of the instructions and templates to help your students create some fun craftivities that are centered around a fairy tale theme of princesses, knights, dragons, and castles, oh my! We also have a guided drawing for a dragon included to add a different type of activity that is great for whole group learning fun. This is a great craftivity to have your students make for an open house in the Spring or end of the year as well. You'll find all of the instructions, templates, and picture examples for all six of these fairy tale themed activities and crafts, that your students will be dying to do again and again, and express their creative side!
Includes 43 pages for 6 craftivities: Templates and instructions for Princess, Knight, Dragon head, Guided Drawing Dragon, Castle, and Beanstalk Spirals!
Princess & Knight
These cute princess and knight craftivites are the perfect companion to our dragon and castle projects! I do them when we study fairy tales and make a bulletin board out of them. We also display our Fairy Tale Book Report Lapbooks with them for Open House!
This simple castle project is a fun addition to our knight, princess, and dragon projects! I do them when we study fairy tales and make a bulletin board out of them, mounting a fairy tale that the each child himself right next to it! This really lets the children flex their creativity and come up with a story all on their own, and add some flair to make their castle their very own!
These cute dragon heads are used for our fairy tale unit! I was inspired after seeing them done on another blog post. There were no instructions or templates, so I came up with my own. I’m loving the way they turned out and the kids had a blast putting them together! The instructions and templates are included so you can make your own fire-breathing dragon faces with your class!
Guided Drawing - Dragon
This is a fun little guided drawing dragon project that I did with my students as a part of their fairy tale unit! My students were totally enthralled with this and absolutely LOVED coloring it creatively! I hope your little ones enjoy it too! The samples shown here were done by first and second graders.
This Paper Plate Spiral Beanstalk is a fun and easy way to decorate a classroom with a fairy tale theme! They look great hanging from the ceiling, a railing, or against a bulletin board, too! They add a little more theme to the room and really help to bring it all together. For such a simple and small activity, it really brings a lot to the theme!
