The Hen's Walk Book

This easy reader book is based on the classic book, Rosie's Walk by Pat Hutchins! Everything you need to create "The Hen's Walk" is included, except for a couple of craft sticks for the stick puppets, and a rubber stamp to make the chicken footprints. (Heidi uses a peace sign stamp with the circle edges cut off!)

This is a great little project for kids to make and then learn to read during guided reading time! Kids do one page per day, reviewing how to read the book each day and acting it out with stick puppets in literacy centers. Heidi puts her books out for viewing on parent night, too!
