Sing & Spell
Sight words are those words that must be recognized “on sight,” because they cannot be sounded out. That’s because they usually don’t follow phonics spelling rules, so they can be tricky for beginning readers. Heidi has an incredibly effective (and FUN!) alternative to the traditional “drill and kill” method of teaching these words: she has a catchy song with movements for 160 of them! Check them out here, plus our many other resources- especially our very popular Hidden Sight Word worksheets! For ages four and up.
